Carlo Acutis

Pope Leo XIV will formally declare Blessed Carlo Acutis (1991-2006) the first Millennial Saint on September 7th.

Acutis was a teenage computer programmer who had a deep love for Jesus, and a deep spiritual life centered on the Eucharist.  At just 11 years old, he began documenting Eucharistic miracles, using his technological savvy to create a website cataloging close to 100 Eucharistic miracles from around the world.

Though leukemia challenged his physical health and ended his short life at 15, his website has become a testament to his belief that technology could be a compelling tool for evangelization, reaching people across many different cultures and generations. He is a powerful model of contemporary sainthood.

Catechetical Sunday

September 21, 2025

What is Catechetical Sunday?

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has designated the third Sunday in September as Catechetical Sunday.

Those whom the community has designated to serve as catechists will be called forth to be commissioned for their ministry.  Catechetical Sunday is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the role that each person plays, by virtue of Baptism, in handing on the faith and being a witness to the Gospel.  Catechetical Sunday is and opportunity for all to rededicate themselves to this mission as a community of faith.
